Description

Nice original antique map of the monuments of "New Paris," as redesigned by Baron Haussmann. This fine map was drawn and engraved by Hilaire Guesnu in Paris and published by Auguste Logerot. This edition was published for the Exposition Universelle, as it shows the Eiffel Tower, and the industrial city set up on the Champs de Mars.

The map shows the many monuments of the City of Lights, including the Eiffel Tower, the Pantheon, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre. A list to the right of the map gives the major bus lines, tramways, and waterbuses operated in the city.

This is a later edition of the map updated to show the construction of the Eiffel Tower.
