Description

Scarce original antique map of coastal Egypt, published in London by William Heather for his New Mediterranean Pilot. . . The map shows the region around the mouth of the Nile, westwards towards Alexandria and Pompey's pillar. The map extends eastwards past the Nile and to the far shore of Burullus Lake.

The charts from Heather's  New Mediterranean Pilot . . . are extremely rare on the market.  This is the first example of the chart we have ever seen.
