Description
Attractive antique map of the North African coast, the Mediterranean, and the contiguous part of Southern Europe.
The map extends from Morocco to Libya, with an overview of the Sahara Desert. It includes a decorative cartouche showing palms and scrubby trees.
The map was prepared by Rigobert Bonne and included in the 1762 Jean Lattre edition of the Atlas Moderne, one of the most commercially successful atlases of the second half of the 18th century.
