Rare map of south eastern Australia, extending from Ceduna South Australia to Brisbane, Queensland, with inset of Colonel William Light’s plan of Adelaide.

There are numerous notes inland on the quality of the country. 

The present example, with its decorative border, is especially rare.

Adelaide

Adelaide was incorporated in 1840, the first city in Australia to be incorporated.

In 1840 Adelaide had a population of over 2,000. By 1850 Adelaide had a population of over 14,000.
