Description

Mid-century tourist map of Taichung City in central Taiwan. Showing the second most populous city of Taiwan in detail, this bilingual map names roads, neighborhoods, parks, and much more.

An inset map in the lower right shows the larger Taichung region in nice old-style pictorial detail. A key at the bottom lists many places of interest. Three photos, including one of a Confucian-like statue, show what life was like in the city at the time.

The map contains manuscript annotations in pencil, suggesting that the map was used by an English-speaking tourist or ex-pat.
