Description

Attractive vintage view of the upper Mississippi River between St. Louis, Missouri, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The map shows all the stops serviced by Streckfus Steamboats, a company that serviced the river between 1910 and 1978, with its most active period in the period immediately following the First World War.

Above and below the map are shown many views of the Mississippi, enticing possible passengers. The verso narrates potential journeys and advertises the amenities available on the steamers.

The St. Paul steamer, pictured on this map, was in commission between 1917 and the early 1930s, providing an age range for this map.
