Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Attractive copperplate engraving showing the Free Imperial City of Heilbronn in Germany. The view shows a bridge across the river Neckar in the foreground, with many towers, churches, fortifications and more visible throughout the city.

Heilbronn suffered heavily during the 30 Years' War, but retained its independent status for most of the 17th and 18th centuries, minus some French incursions. It would become part of Wurttemberg in 1802.

This view was published by Pierre Aveline, one of the foremost viewmakers of the first part of the 18th century.

Providing a detailed representation of the region of Austria, the map spans a significant geographical area extending from Bohemia Regnum in the north to the Bishoprick of Istria, the Duchy of Carinthia, and the Duchy of Carniola in the south. The map is centered on the Salzburg Archbishoprick, and stretches from Switzerland in the west to Styria in the east.
