Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Attractive pictorial map of the small alpine principality of Liechtenstein. The map shows the country from the west, such that the nation's populated valley, containing the cities of Vaduz and Balzers, is visible in the foreground, and the high mountains are in the background.

Home to five-digit phone numbers and Peter Paul Reubens, this advertisement for the country makes the most of Liechtenstein's attractions, noting, for example, all the railway lines to which the principality is connected. Genial and welcoming, this work is a classic example of post-war European pictorial alpine mapping.

The population given of 13,800 suggests a date of circa 1950.

Maps of Liechtenstein are uncommon. This is the first time we have offered a map for sale which focuses on just this principality.
