Original vintage tourist map of the Pike's Peak and Colorado Springs regions in central Colorado. The map shows, in great detail, the roads from the town of Colorado Springs to Pike's Peak, with a Toll Road and Cog Railway that go to the top of the peak.
Numerous extremely extensive notes can be found throughout the map. A description of the routes that can be taken is provided, the memorial in Colorado Springs to early pioneers who "evolved order out of chaos" is mentioned, and the scenery of Manitou Springs is exalted.
The verso includes a detailed map of the Garden of the Gods, surrounded by vignettes of its most noted sights, as well as further descriptive text. Adjacent to this are several text columns that describe the "Indian Legend of Manitou Springs" and the biography of Zebulon Pike.
