America's Most Scenic Air Trip

Charming pictorial map showing an early air route between San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon (Las Vegas).

Western Air Express made use of pictorial map artists such as Ruth Taylor White in their bid to illustrate their air routes emanating from Southern California.

It is interesting that the map would put such little emphasis on (Las Vegas) given the city's prominence now, but Sin City's rise to national consciousness didn't really begin until World War II.
