Description

Scarce map of the Crimean Peninsula, published in Padova.

The map was published in Universus terrarum orbis scriptorum calamo delineatus by Lasor a Varea in Padova, in 1713. Lasor a Varea illustrated his geographical work with almost 500 copper engravings, based on most famous small format maps from the 16th and 17th century, such as maps from Valeggio (Raccolta, 1595), Porcacchi (Le Isole più famose del mondo, 1572), Rosaccio-Franco (Viaggi a Costantinopoli, 1598) and Magini (Geografia, 1596).
