A Roadtripper's Guide to the Eastern Seaboard.
Great vintage pictorial map of the Eastern US, printed for New York roadtrippers looking to get some winter sun in Florida. The map focuses on routes along which happened important historical events, noting particularly Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields.
The map is divided into three sections, the first showing the route between New York and Raleigh, the second between Raleigh and Jacksonville, and the third showing Florida. Battlefields, Confederate capitals, and Seminole War forts all dot the routes.
One of a number of Sundberg maps published as Sunday News inserts. Sundberg was known to have been a pictorial map artist both before and after the war. Despite their dissemination in a New York newspaper, they are scarce on the market today.
A must for American dads.
