Description
Wonderful original vintage travel poster promoting travel to Hawaii on Northwest Orient Airlines, dated to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
The poster features a Hawaiian woman dancing with a Lei garland around her neck. A Hawaiian king, possibly Kamehameha I, is shown in the background. Another Hawaiian is shown net-fishing. A Douglas C-54 Skymaster flies overhead. Northwest Orient retired that aircraft in 1961. The fact that the poster shows that aircraft and not one of Northwest Orient's jetliners, helps establish the dating for the poster.
