Gorgeous full color example of this marvelous Elizabethan view of London, from Maitland's History of London, first issued in 1738.

Includes a key identifying over 80 place names and 2 coats of arms. The map names and identifies a number of streets and important place names. A bull and bear baiting pit is shown on the south bank. The Globe Theatre and the City Walls are also shown.

The note at the bottom indicates that the map is drawn from a large print in the collection Hans Sloan.
