Rare tourist promotional map of Ensenada and the "Northern Territory of Lower California," published in Ensenada and given away by the Hussong Brothers.
Published in 1949, the larger map provides a detailed treatment of the roads in the Northern part of Baja California Norte, extending south to San Quintin and San Simon on the Pacific Coast and to south of San Felipe and Punta Diggs on the interior. Paved roads are indicated with solid lines, with the majority of the roads shown as broken lines (unpaved roads).
An extensive tract in English describes the trip to Ensenada and its lodging, restaurants and recreational activities. This includes a short description of the history of Hussong's Bar, dating back to 1892.
On the verso is a full map of the Baja, a plan of the Ensenada business district and advertising for several Hussong businesses and others.
