Description

Rare World War II map of Manila, prepared just after the city was liberated from Japanese occupation in 1945.

The map was reproduced by 650th Engineer Bn, WESPAUC, in August of 1945, after the Battle of Manila, which last from February to March of that year. Initially, the map was prepared under the direction of the Engineer, U.S. Sixth Army by the 69th Engineer Topo. Co., February 1945, presumably for the Battle. The map includes a note as to what other maps and sources were used in its compilation, among these sources are captured Japanese maps.

It includes a note at the top "For use by War and Navy Department Agencies only Not for sale or distribution"
