Description

Iconic WWII American Propaganda Poster.

The "Remember Dec. 7th!" image was intended to promote nationalism and boost support for the war effort.  The image combines a famous line from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, "...we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain..." as a means of recalling another important moment in American History and reminding Americans of the sacrifice of previous generations.

The poster uses the phrase "Remember Dec. 7th" rather than "Remember Pearl Harbor," which would become the predominant slogan as the American War effort progressed.

This is the larger of the two versions of the poster. The other is 21x27 inches.
