If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Hand drawn survey map illustrating the survey of land on Buffalo Creek in Amherst County, Virginia, signed by Assistant Surveyor John Harris.

The area shown is just south of Lexington, Virginia and west of Mechanicsville.

The map recites the history of the land, which begins with the issuance of a patent on March 30, 1743 to Robert Christian, and a second deed from Robert Christian to James Christian on August 21, 1744.

Condition Description

Pen & Ink with wash color. Evidence of old folds and soiling.
