Description
A powerful map of the world from 1939, a pivotal year in global history, published by Acme Newspictures, Inc.
The map shows the world at the beginning of World War II. The invasion of Poland on September 1st is one of the numerous tragic events illustrated in the photographic border. The Soviet annexation of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania is noted a few panels over.
We have found copies at the Osher Library and David Rumsey Collection.
