Rare vintage (semi) pictorial map of Los Altos, California issued by Goodrich-MacKenzie in 1956.
The map pokes good-natured fun at the local leisure class, with numerous cartoon characters in the Los Altos Hills engaging in hobby pursuits.
On the back of the map is a pictorial of Los Altos in the context of the general Bay Area.
Pictorial maps that focus on Los Altos are virtually unobtainable.
Condition Description
Folding map with some wear at folds. Some tape repairs on the face of the map, with minor toning. Some manuscript indicating the purchase of lots on Elise Court.
