Rare early American Airlines route map, prepared in conjunction with the Gousha Company.

The map focuses on the routes serviced by American in 1936, with an additional 13 strrip maps showing major routes.

This may is one of the earliest American Airlines Route Maps for the United States and was apparently issued for several years.  The earliest route map for American Airlines listed on OCLC is dated 1936.  In the prior year, it appears the American Airlines began issuing "Souvenir Air Maps", which consisted of single route strip maps showing the individual routes which appear on this 1936 maps.
