Scarce early business and professional directory map, focused on Barstow, Mojave and the High Desert regions.

The larger map provides a detailed look at the city of Barstow at the end of World War II. The Mojave River is shown at the top, with the Santa Fe Railroad Yards at the center and the vast majority of the town south of Main Street, which is Route 66.

Includes a list of Service Clubs, Lodges, Organizations and second list showing churches, including an LDS Church and the Mexican Congregational Church.

On the verso, the regional map extends north to Death Valley and west to just beyond Highway 395, with a large area identified as US Naval Ordnance Test Station (Restricted Area), for which the map information has been obscured (now Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, near Ridgecrest and Inyokern.
