Rare harbor chart of Carthagena, modern-day Colombia, published in London by John Luffman.

The chart shows soundings within the harbor, as well as forts guarding the all-important Bocha Chica, more forts at the closer entrance to the city, and the fortifications of the city itself.

The text at the bottom notes:

Carthagena, the Capital of a province of the same name in the Terra Firma, South Ameirca. The Harbour is the best in this part of America. It is 320 miles S. of Kingston, Jamaica...
