This map and instructions will indicate to each person in Sacramento County where to obtain the best available protection from radioactive fallout in case of a nuclear attack.  It is extremely important to prepare today for the protection of you and your family in case of such a disaster.  On the right [of the map] is a space titled "Your Family Plan." . . .

The maps provide a detailed overview of the 135 fallout shelter locations around Sacramento County, as well as indexed local maps illustrating locations.

A fascinating look at the American mindset at the height of the Cold War.
