Description

Nice vintage bird's-eye view of New Hope, Pennsylvania, the home of American studio craft furniture, illustrated by Gina Shamus in 1976.

The map features many of the businesses and local landmarks that helped build New Hope's reputation as a center for arts and crafts and studio furniture making, including the American Crafts and Early Industry Museum.

Aquetong Road, on which Paul Evans and George Nakashima famously had their studios, is shown at the top of the map, though, unfortunately, the aforementioned studios are not illustrated.
