Description

Scarce vintage pictorial map of Alameda County, produced by the Alameda County Development Commission, published in a booklet promoting Alameda County in the late 1930s or early 1940s.

The front cover of the booklet sports a picture of the Alameda County Courthouse, which the tagline claims is "California's Most Beautiful".

The pictorial map is in the classic 1920s and 1930s California cartoon pictorial style, closely resembling the works of Ruth Taylor White. The map is signed "W.T.F." in the lower right corner.

Estimated date based on OCLC 20040303, which shows copies at California Historical, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis, only.
