A Neopolitan Cartographic Rarity

Rare 1766 re-issue of this separately published map of Europe by Paolo Petrini.

Petrini was active in Naples at the end of the 17th and 18th century. He drew primarily on the works of Nicolas Sanson for as his cartographic source.

All of his maps are very rare.  However, this is the first time we have ever seen this 1766 edition of the map. Petrini's atlas is an extreme rarity -- no institutional examples are known to survive, according to Burden.
