Interesting contemporary newspaper map of the 1957 Tour de France, the 44th edition of the most famous bicycle race in the world.
The bottom of the map features a blank list of pole position at the various stages of the race, which a contemporary owner partially filled out.
The most famous participants in the race have headshots around the map. Roger Walkowiak, the winner of the 1956 Tour, has his portrait in the middle of the map.
