Description

Scarce separately issued map of Pasadena, South Pasadena, Altadena and San Marino, published by Los Angeles map published Albert G. Thurston.

The present example includes advertising from Godber & Gates, offering "A Complete List of All of Pasadena's Desirable Homes for Rent and For Sale . . ."  The map also advertises some of the other new automobile maps offered by Thurston.

The map includes concentric circles radiating out from the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and N. Fair Oaks.  Streets car lines appear, with a confluence of lines on  three sides of the Raymond Hotel and Golf Links.  A "Most Beautiful Private Park Open To the Public" is shown (Busch Gardens),

Throop College of Technology (Cal Tech) is shown, with the Tournament  Park across the street, home to the first 8 Rose Bowl Games.

The area shown as San Marino would shortly thereafter become the home of the Huntington Museum and Botanical Gardens.
