Rare early hurricane tracking chart, prepared in Tampa by the "Nationwide Weather Service."
The map provides historical information about 7 major Hurricanes (1893-1960), a Hurricane Precautions section and advice from the Orlando Utilities Commission on how to respond to hurricane damage.
The map was prepared by Charles Stump, who among other things was the was Tampa based WTVT Channel 13's first Meteorologist, which requires more certified training than a weatherman.
The only record we can find for the chart is a copyright entry in the name of Charles W. Stump in May 1961, at the same time as his "Facts About Weather" and "Facts About Hurricanes" was copyrighted.
Rarity
The map is apparently very rare. No copies in OCLC or any other source we could locate.
