Fine example of Ralph Carlyle Prather stunning view of the Rocky Mountains from Estes Park.

At the upper left the view begins Estes Park and the Stanley hotel at the lower left and Fort Colllins and Loveland, with Mount Olympus above.  The town of Estes Park sits at the foot of the Rockies, with the road meandering to the right and into the Rocky Mountain, passed the Stanley [Estes Park] Electric Light and Power Plant, toward Mount Chapin, Fall River Path and the Medicine Bow Mountains.

The view is covered with notes indicating among other things peaks and elevations; distances by road or trail; and ranches, reservations and other points of interest. An index at the base enables the user to locate dozens of landmarks by means of alphanumeric coordinates.

 In 1918, Prather published Prather’s Aeroplane Map of the World’s Battle Field. In 1922, Prather published this view of Estes Park and an aerial view of the Denver Mountain Parks and Mt. Evans.   In April 1923, The view was advertised as follows:
