Description

Interesting set of maps illustrating Germany's taking of Poland in September 1939.

Over the course of 6 maps, the conquest of Poland by Germany at the outset of World War II is meticulously shown, with a commentary on each map, description of German forces and explanation of German tactics.  Beginning with map 5, the Russian incursion is also shown, ending with the partition of Poland between Germany, Russia and Lithuania, with just a small "puppet Poland" remaining nominally independent.
