A rare set of Levi Yaggy Wall Maps
Fine set of educational maps, originally created by Levi W. Yaggy and issued by the Western Publishing House in Chicago.
Map of the Western Hemisphere with Four Globes: We located a single reference to this work in the Missouri School Journal for December 1896 at page 775, where the work was one of a larger group of objects which comprised "Yaggy's Geographical Study."
The image illustrates the Rain Fall, Winds, Vegetable products, Animal Life etc. in the different sections of the earth. Note the American flag planted on the North Pole, crediting Robert Peary with reaching the North Pole on April 6, 1909.
