Unrecorded folding brochure with map, promoting the ventures of the New York and Alaska Gold Exploration and Trading Company.
The company was one of many ventures started to exploit the discovery of Gold in Alaska, which led to the Alaskan Gold Rush. The Company's share sale promotion is included, along with a lengthy explanation about how to get to the Klondike Gold Regions (two primary routes), explanations and tips for prospective gold miners, glowing description of the riches that await and a description of "A Miner's Outfit."
The map includes the location of the Gold Fields, the two primary routes an the location of the "Proposed Rail Road" from the Copper River to the Yukon River.
The map is unrecorded. There is virtually no record of the New York and Alaska Gold Exploration and Trading Company, other than a few newspaper articles.
