Map Showing Swedish Immigration to the United States.
Fantastic separate immigration map showing the route from Sweden to the United States, via Hull, Liverpool, and New York.
According to the map, the path for the Swedish emigrant began in Goteborg before sailing to the United Kingdom and then sailing for New York. Once in the United States the emigrants would travel by rail to Chicago and fan out from there. The map shows a route into Minnesota, with Saint Paul oddly placed 200 miles off.
Rarity
OCLC records a single institutional copy of the map in a pamphlet titled: Emigrant befordring genom The National Steam Ship Company Limited. That pamphlet is held by the National Library of Sweden.
Condition Description
Minor soiling dampstaining. Some repaired loss along old folds.
