Description
Attractive and quite scarce vintage pictorial map of Manhattan, published by S.M. Stanley Co. in New York in 1933.
The map replete with cartoon illustrations of important events and landmarks in Manhattan, including a Zeplin docking at the Empire State Building, battles, execution grounds, political incorrect caricatures, the slave market, etc.
The 26 vignettes that surround the map showcase historical events of particular relevance to New York in the 1930s.
A scarce map, this being the first time we have offered it for sale.
