Finely engraved Revolutionary War era map of South Carolina, from the French edition of Ramsay's History of the American Revolution.

The map depicts the locations of all the battles fought in South Carolina during the American Revolution, as well as the marches and retreats of many of the primary forces during the war. Among the routes located are:

  • Lord Cornwallis's Route to Hillsborogh, N.C.
  • Lord Cornwallis's Route to Wilmington, NC
  • General Green's retreat from North Carolina to Virginia.
  • General Green's Retreat in April 1781
  • General Green's March against Lord Rawdon.
  • General Green's Retreat in April 1781
  • General Morgan's retreat.General Green's march of September 1781
  • Genera Prevost's Rout
  • A number of other shorter British and American routes around Charleston.

A number of Forts and Indian Villages are also located. A fine dark impression of this rare map.
