Pro-Red Army Propaganda Map Published in the British Empire

Fascinating WWII broadside propaganda map, published in India, in order to keep the local populous informed about the War.

The map illustrates the theatre of war in China in the Summer of 1942.

The three text bubbles including news regarding:

  • The Chekiang ("Bomb Tokyo") Province, where the Japanese and Chinese battled for control of strategic airfields and ports in Chusien, Lishui, Wenchow, Kinhwa and Yushan
  • Chinese guerillas harrassing and attacking the Peking-Canton Railway, Chekiang-Kiangsi Railway, and the lines between Sinyang and Chengchow, and between Chengchow and Sian.
  • American Bombing raids in southern China, launched from Hengyang, attacking Hankow, Canton, and Nanchang.
