Unrecorded Early Edition of Mogg's Map of London.

Antique map of London issued by Edward Mogg in London in 1817.

Detailed plan of Georgian London, which at the time extended from Hyde Park to just east of the Tower of London.  The City of London is differentiated from the surrounding metropolitan area by hand-coloring.

Streets are named and built-up blocks colored in.

Condition Description
Hand-colored engraved map, dissected in 16 sections and mounted on original linen. Small hole in middle where the folds meet, partly hand coloured. Minor browning, blemishes to the reverse, a couple of splits at fold edges but a Good complete copy of a rare map.

Howgego 238 records editions of 1816 and 1818 - but not this 1817 edition. Thus unrecorded.
