If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Scarce map of the Solar System, illustrating the model of Copernicus, as first described in 1543.

The map is surrounded by a number of other images of Celestial and Solar phenomenon and objects, including the models of Ptolemy & Tycho Brahe, illustrations of an eclipse, models of the moon, and the other planets in the solar system, the comet of 1821, phases of the moon, sun spots, etc.

Attractive original antique copperplate engraving showing the orbits of celestial bodies. The largest work centers on a golden crown, likely representing the sun. Orbiting it, the signs of the zodiac are visible, representing the constellations. This is surrounded by text which dates the creation of the map. The equatorial line and zodiac symbols are also shown for the western and eastern celestial hemispheres.
