The map shows many of the iconic San Diego sites, including:
- Del Mar Turf Club
- La Jolla
- Mission Beach Roller Coaster
- Old Spanish Lighthouse
- City Stadium
- World's Largest Log Rafts (in San Diego Bay)
- Coronado Ferry (before the bridge)
- San Diego State College
- Brown Military Academy
There are two editions of the map, most easily differentiated by the presence or absence of a title cartouche in the lower left of the pictorial map. The other edition can be seen here and is from a completely new matrix.
