Description

Scarce map of the Southwestern US, shortly before the Civil War. The map is dominated by a massive Utah, New Mexico (pre-Gadsden Purchase), Kanzas (including much of Colorad0) and Nebraska (including Wyoming). While the earlier editions of this map which include the Republic of Texas, this later pre-Gadsden edition rarely appears on the market. Excellent detail and notations throughout the map, including notes on Indian Tribes, mountain elevations, topography, etc. A great collectors map.
