Description

Antique Lithographed Finger Lakes Bird's Eye View of Penn Yan, New York.

Four-stone color lithograph after O.H. Bailey, lithographed by H.J. Toudy & Co. and published by T.M. Fowler. The view shows the town of Penn Yan, at the north end of the east branch of Keuka Lake, in the New York Finger Lakes region.

An attractive example of the American bird's eye art, with the usual charms; the view shows the town is served by steam paddleboats and a train.

The key lists a post office, depot, M. Parks "Manufacturer of Light Carriages and Dealer in Carriage hardware and Trimmings Head St.", gas works, and five churches: Episcopal, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, and Catholic.
