Description

Fine large format map of the World, drawn by Toronto Artist Stanley Turner, one of the best known WWII map illustrators for the C.C. Peterson Advertising Agency.

The front map is updated to at least September 21, 1941.  The map on the verso shows updates to at least March 1942 (General Douglas MacArthur appointed to Southwest Pacific Command March 17, 1942), American sinking of a Japanese Cruiser southeast of Mindanao (April 22, 1942) Japanese capture of Correigdor (May 6, 1942) and routing of the Japanese Navy in the Coral Sea (May 7, 1942).

Turner's world map went through nearly 30 editions and was changed every few months.
