Inscribed with "Indice delle cose notabili diviso in otto giornate," listing 390 monuments and sites, the numbering of which correspond to those in the guidebook by Vasi : Itinerario istruttivo diviso in otto giornate per ritrovare con facilita tutte le antiche e moderne magnificenze di Roma. The dedication to Charles III appears in the lower left corner on an antique slab. To the right of Charles III's coat of arms are printed verses from the 64th epigram by the Roman poet Martial: HINC SEPTEM DOMINOS VIDERE MONTES / ET TOTAM LICET AESTIMARE ROMAN. M. Val.
