Description

Fine early view of Seattle, published as the center foldout image of a West Shore publication.

The view shows Seattle from the north, with Elliott Bay at the right and Mount Ranier in the distance.

The maker of the view is listed as A Burr.

The map is bound into an edition of West Shore dedicated to the City of Seattle, with more than a dozen other illustrations showing Seattle.

Rarity

The view is very rare on the market. The last example at auction which we could locate was Park Bernet, in 1967, for a separate example mounted on a board.

Condition Description
Minor foxing. Bound into a West Shore Magazine issue.
