Fine example of HS Tanner's map of the World, published in his American Atlas.
The map includes the tracks of exploration for the 3 Voyages of Captain James Cook, George Vancouver, La Perouse in their circumnavigations of the world.
In the Atlantic, the route of Captain Philpps in 1773 and Lieutenant Pickersgill is shown in 1776, traveling north towards the Arctic waters.
