Map of South Africa and map of Madeira, from Honter's 1561 De Cosmographiae Rudimentis.

The Cape of Good Hope (Ca. de bona Spernaza) is named.  The map of South Africa shows the twin lakes north of the Mountains of the Moon as the source of the Nile River.   

Honter's maps are based upon modern sources and are among the earliest modern printed maps of the regions shown.
