First State of Duchetti's Rare View of Rome -- Based Upon The View of Mario Cartaro in 1575
Rare separately published map of the environs of Rome, published by Claudio Duchetti.
The map is oriented with East at the top and includes a key locating over 100 important places.
The outer walls and gates are well ilustrated, as is the the still relatively underdeveloped region of the Vatican City.
The map is based upon an earlier plan by Mario Cartaro, published in 1572.

State 2: Brambilla only, 1590.
State 3: Orlandi imprint, 1602
