The view captures a mature Grass Valley, with a diverse thriving economy, including a lumber yard, brewery, Newspaper, etc. Two large bridges are shown, accommodating the railroad traffic of a narrow gauge line (Nevada County Narrow Gauge Rail Road) and the Central Pacific Railroad.

Condition Description

Minor restoration to part of the title and margins, with some facsimile work in the text.
